Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome Spectrum Disorders

As healthcare workers in our community, we recognize there are few services for this population. Thus, Mountain Mental Health has designed a program to evaluate and treat the child, adolescent or adult who has or is suspected of having Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome or related Spectrum Disorder.

Treatment Program

• Evaluation
• Interview with family and client
• Assessment using tools specifically designed to identify components of Spectrum Disorders
• Gathering of information from school and other health care professionals
• Treatment designed to meet the individual needs of the child, adolescent, adult and family
• Parent support and education groups
• Individual and family therapy, including support for siblings
• Consultation with school personnel to assist in education planning
• Coordination with other professionals including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists and Language Therapists
• Transition to adulthood
• Long term follow-up
